There are an overwhelming number of choices available in the Bay Area. First we have to narrow it down to a general location: Santa Cruz, Berkeley, San Francisco, Carmel, Oakland?
Below are a few options that I have been looking at:
1. Marin Headlands Art Center http://www.headlands.org/
A wedding at the location can be seen here: http://www.stylemepretty.com/2009/03/11/m/
2. Monarch Cove Inn (Santa Cruz/Capitola)
http://www.monarch-cove-inn.com/wedding.html and on Yelp at http://www.yelp.com/biz/monarch-cove-inn-capitola
3. The Beach House at Temescal Regional Recreation Area and The Brazil Room

4. The Hillside Club in Berkeley?

5. Healdsburg Country Gardens

6. The Hogg Residents
7. The Pie Ranch http://www.pieranch.org/
A friend told me about this place and is going to send a link with pics of a wedding there.
8. Wilder Ranch
COMMENTS
1. I remember looking at this place before. It seems pretty good, but from the pictures it makes the actual location look kinda dark. I can't tell what the area around the building is like (probably gorgeous), and the lighting in the professional photography is nice, but the place kinda feels dirty or grungy, or I don't know exactly how to say it. Anyway, we can check it out, but I'm not wild about this one.
2. Seems gorgeous. That strip of the coast is really nice. I wish I could see more of the actual building in any of those pictures, but that one would be easy to check out when you're out here. I'd definitely like to. Did you see on Yelp that it's $4500, but you get it for all of Friday and Saturday to yourselves. That's pretty nice.
3. I'm going to go up there by Sunday at the latest to check it out. I might have time before then, but I've vowed to myself to go check it out this week.
4. Can't really tell, couldn't find any pictures on their website. The little ones I could see looked good. If it is the building I'm thinking of, it's pretty good, but my biggest concern was something from yelp. It said you have to find street parking around there (cedar and spruce) which would be ridiculous for ~70 people. Something to consider.
5. Gorgeous. I'd be worried about the expense. It's $9500 for a Saturday. They have another website here (http://www.hcgweddings.com). So yes, absolutely gorgeous, but I think too much money.
6. Definitely would like to go see it. You guys speak so highly of it.
